Concerts in Seattle Washington 2013
Today in their hometown of Chicago, multi-platinum Grammy-nominated group Fall Out Boy announced that they have reunited after an indefinitie hiatus and will debut their new single “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” today on iTunes.
They celebrated by burning their back catalog in a bonfire at the site of the original Disco Demolition Night in 1979, now U.S. Cellular Field. They visited B96/Chicago and revealed the meaning behind their new album title.
“Rock and roll to me represents an attitude, ” said Pete Wentz. “It represents something inside you. That’s why we got into playing music. That’s why I wanted to be in the band. So you can take it as an ironic thing or you can take it the way it is. We just wanted to do something that was fun and dangerous for us. We didn’t need to do the band again, we wanted to do it because it was fun.”
“Obvious and safe doesn’t seem that rock and roll to me, ” laughed Patrick Stump.
Fall Out Boy’s fifth studio album Save Rock And Roll will be released on May 7th, 2013, the 10th anniversary of Fall Out Boy’s first full length studio album in 2003, Take This To Your Grave. It’s their first new studio album since Folie Á Deux in December 2008. The band will be playing a handful of shows before heading on their tour later this year, including one this Thursday, February 7th at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles.

Here are my top 10 concerts for '05:
1. Paul McCartney at Key Arena. Another stellar performance by the greatest rock musician of all time. Not the wow factor of 2002, my first good look at him, but another 35 great songs with 18 that weren't played in '02. Yes, "great".
2. Brian Wilson at the Paramount. Symphonical, theatrical, angelic vocals, rock and rolling, with a complete play...mbershoot. Rank it just above her Tractor show. Escaping the N Carolina heat to a cool Seattle evening gave her even more energy. Thanks to No Depression.
10. Tift Merritt at The Tractor. Can't get enough of that chick.
Honorable mention -- Merle Haggard opening for Dylan. Johnny Irion/Sarah Guthrie and Billy Jo Shaver at BShoot. David Grisman at Wintergra
